Welcome Jason Bentley!

It is wonderful to introduce new instructor, Jason Bentley, to the studio! Jason is an exceptional fine artist who specializes in watercolors and oils in his commission and gallery work. Jason will be co-teaching the Saturday morning kids classes, subbing for other weekly classes on occasion, and will be the instructor for the Thursday night 7 to 10 PM Adult class and the Friday 9:30 to 12:30 Adult Class.

About Jason Bentley: Jason grew up in the university town of Champaign/Urbana, IL. From a young age, he focused on skill and discipline based activities. He studied art and martial arts and was initially interested in comic books and illustration. In college, he continued to study the visual arts, maturing as an artist while developing new and experimental approaches. Over time, his artistic interests gravitated toward the fine arts.

Jason is an active member of the Palette and Chisel in Chicago, has a degree in Fine Arts from the Parkland Community College in Champaign, and a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His teaching experience includes curriculum development and classroom instruction for kids and adults a the Springer Cultural Center. Jason is a brand representative for Winsor and Newton Paints, and works as a freelance graphic designer, an exhibiting artist, and as a commissioned painter.

Jason says: “I am very happy to be a part of Insight Fine Art Studio. I enjoy sharing ideas and teaching others to realize their creative potential!”
